3 Horrendous Van Supplier Customer Service Mistakes

The customer is always right.

This one phrase is the hallmark of great customer service and what we all want when making a purchase. Now when it comes to buying or leasing a van for your business, whilst a number of van suppliers don’t offer great customer service...many of them do.

So rather than put up with poor customer service, here’s a quick 3-point checklist that you can use to determine whether your custom is best taken elsewhere.

#1 Hard to get hold of - Great customer service starts with great communication. And great communication starts with being able to have a conversation. So if your prospective van supplier is hard to get hold of, or doesn’t reply to emails/phone calls promptly, then consider taking your business to one of the many suppliers who do.

#2 Not well-connected - When ordering a commercial vehicle, customers can be waiting up to 5 months just to receive a factory order van. However, a well-connected supplier will be able to suggest suitable alternatives so that you’re able to get a van as soon as possible.

#3 Inflexible funding options - Funding the acquisition of your van is a key test of a van supplier’s customer service. There are several funding options:

  • Outright purchase
  • Lease purchase
  • Hire purchase
  • Contract hire
  • Finance lease

And so what you’re looking for is a van supplier who is able to understand your needs, explain the funding options available to you and work with you to find the best funding option.
